I already gave you my answer: experiment with different inflation schedules (including tail emission) on in another currency, and compete with Bitcoin. It is very possible that in the long term it wins in the market.
In fact, that is also what your proposal practically amounts to, because as an inevitably controversial hardfork, adopters of it will find themselves operating a different currency anyway (just one whose initial distribution is bootstrapped with a snapshot of Bitcoin’s UTXO set at fork time).
