In light of the ColdCard incident, I have created a system that allows anyone to easily generate their seed words using only ordinary dice or playing cards.
Each seed word requires only 3 rolls of two dice or dealing 3 shuffled cards, allowing users to generate their own entropy offline without any bias.
This looks useful for people who want to create their own seed words without relying on a device.
One small point for clarity: the post mentions three dice rolls per word, but the guide appears to use five individual rolls. It may help to say that clearly up front, especially for people trying this for the first time.
A short worked example and a reminder to practise restoring an empty wallet before using real funds would also make the guide easier for nontechnical users to follow.
Thanks for the feedback. I meant 3 rolls with up to two dice (2 rolls of two dice and 1 roll of one dice).
Right now it’s more of a spec than a guide, if it gets traction then I’ll consider expanding it.
