Mempool Incentive Compatibility

Fees go up, you get evicted, you win a Free Relay.

I might be reading this game wrong, but if it’s evicted, we attempt to make subsequent txs “pay for it” by increasing minfee by incremental rate. So it’s limited in scope and by time(similar to how we allow free relay for transactions that sat in mempool for 2 weeks and time out). Strictly weaker than harvesting the fees directly of course.

If you’re dropped from the mempool, it’s like you never existed. There’s no “minimum increase” other than what gets you in the (now more expensive) mempool?

(Edit: Apparently this is wrong, because minfee increases? For how long does that happen?)
