The mining pool can use OP_CTV to pay into a transaction tree. The leaf of this tree is called a VTXO. A miner can hold on to their VTXO’s for a while until they have collected a good amount of VTXO’s and offboard all funds at once.

I am convinced. I need to look more closely at the noncustodial nature of ark. If the security guarantees are comparable to a basic CTV payment tree in then it would be a natural upgrade to reduce the on-chain footprint of small payouts overall.
