I think this is a logical fallacy: A is not B, but product P does A & B, so A = B?
Just because you have classical LN channels, as well as hosted channels, does not make the hosted channels normal channels. That’s what I wanted to point our in my comment. Tony’s channels are LN channels, we just assign a different interpretation to the numeric values in the channel. Hosted channels are not classical LN channels, since they cannot be settled on-chain (the best you can hope for in hosted channels is a proof of misbehavior, but unlike LN there is no automatic dispute mechanism via the blockchain).
