v0.6.0 is out. murch reviewed the PR and asked for tighter, more direct prose and a fuller account of address reuse. The prose went from about 4,700 words to 3,000. Outputs that pay the same script now share one exposure window, which opens when a spend of any of them is broadcast and closes when the spend of the last remaining one is confirmed and buried.
For wallets, the only change in Appendix A is the SWEEP_WHEN_SPENDING floor. It now says to spend every output paying that script in one transaction, instead of spending the entire balance. The other three rows are the same.
On publication, murch wrote: “I’m on the fence whether it is necessary to document this classification, but I’m open to be convinced by reviewers stating their support for publication of this document.” If you have a view on that, for or against, the PR is the place for it: https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/pull/2294
