# Stats on compact block reconstructions

Here are updated stats for compact block reconstructions! Since mid July, the reconstruction rate without having to request a transaction as been terrible. It’s been hovering somewhere between 1%-5%. At the same time, the nodes needed to request roughly 100kB worth of transactions per block on average. I haven’t had the time to look closer, but compact block relay is ~~essentially broken~~ hindered right now…
