It doesn’t work in practice. There is no guarantee in bitcoin that an off-chain state is reconciliated with the on-chain state of the blockchain, before expiration of the safety timelocks in a world where users are in a fees competition to confirm off-chain states.
Puzzling, but sometimes I just have to move on and get stuff done.
It’s easy to get stuff done, I can do it too. Just ship completely broken stuff to users.
