The Ouroboros Protocol - Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (draft)

Hello everyone,

I am seeking peer review and technical feedback on a Draft BIP I’ve been working on, tentatively named “The Ouroboros Protocol”, for perpetual security.

Solves the problem of abandoned UTXOs, long-term security, dust, 2106 hard fork, and technology obsolescense.

Why explore this path?

While the fee-market transition is the current plan, a strictly fee-dependent model introduces well-documented risks regarding chain stability, erratic hashrate, and fee sniping. Furthermore, relying on voluntary mechanisms like “State Rent” fails to clean up permanently lost coins or dust, leaving full nodes bearing the RAM cost of dead data forever. Finally, forcing active UTXO renewal naturally drains the “quantum honey-pot” of early-era P2PK outputs.

You can read the full Draft BIP on my GitHub repository here:

I look forward to your technical critiques and finding out where this mechanism might break or how it could be improved. Thank you for your time.
