Here are updated reconstruction stats:
I updated the peer.observer node bob to a recent master that includes policy: lower the default blockmintxfee, incrementalrelayfee, minrelaytxfee by glozow · Pull Request #33106 · bitcoin/bitcoin · GitHub on 2025-08-22. It didn’t have existing sub-1 sat/vbyte transactions in it’s mempool and thus took a few days before the reconstruction rate improved. Besides the bad reconstruction performance on 2025-09-06, 2025-09-07, and 2025-09-08, it performed significantly better.
Similarly, a clear improvement in the average size of requested transactions can be seen for bob.
